It’s here!!

My new order arrived!  Yayyyy. My suppliers are so super quick with delivering orders, but I never dare get my hopes up for things arriving before the weekend etc.  My new pallets are amazing, but I have some spaces in one of them!!  Note to self, must fill in all spaces and place another order. I couldn’t wait to have a try out of my paints!!  I tried to do an arm swatch of all my new sparkly colours, but not only could I not get a piccie to show how much they shimmered – simply taking a picture of my arm was very difficult, lol!  I also set up my new kit, cleaned everything up and rearranged it all.  This was a big treat for me – I love a neat and tidy kit, and any excuse for me to play with my shiny new...

More buying.

Today I found a company that offered personalised bags!  Its like a satchel style over the shoulder school bag, and I compared measurements – it will fit my new pallets that I ordered yesterday in perfectly!  Super!!  Order placed, looking forward to receiving...

Shopaholics Anonymous

Sooooo, I accidently placed a large order today – oopsies! The thing with seeing another facepainters kit is, well kit envy.  We are often known as tackle tarts in the trade when we like to collect new and sparkly paints, brushes etc.  Forgive me, for I too am a tackle tart and cannot resist an opportunity to buy new paints. I also decided to buy some new pallets in order to store my paints in which will reduce setting up & packing up time, and hopefully reduce the things I carry around as now I am getting further on in my pregnancy I am finding carrying so much a little awkward. I have ordered some my most expensive paints to date today – £17 each, eeekkk!!  Worth it though as I got to try them out yesterday at the mini jam so I know I will love...

Jam Time!

Us facepainters are sociable creatures and like to meet up with each other at a ‘jam’ to swap ideas and bounce ideas off each other.  It’s a lovely business to be in where we all help each other to become better and we inspire each other to be better as well. Today was a mini jam near Leeds, only a lot of the other facepainters dropped out at the last minute, making it a small jam for 2.  It was fabulous for me as I got some super training from a lady with a lot more experience than me, and I also got to swap some of my paints that I didn’t get along with, for some new shiny sparkly paints.  How exciting!  Love new paints! Heres a couple of pics of the new things, including freehand glitter tattooing which I had my first ever practice...

Bump Painting

Bump Painting

Bump painting!  My very good friend is now 38 weeks pregnant.  She is allowing me to use her bump for my own practice canvas, yayy!! Today I painted Mr Bump on her bump, and also painted Little Miss Bossy on her soon to be 2 year old girl.  Little Miss took a little persuading to have her tum painted, but was then so fascinated she kept squiggling when I was painting her so she could have a good look at herself. Mr (well Mrs!) Bump and Little Miss then went round to have a photo shoot done with Capture Photography, and the photographs turned out beautifully. Its such a lovely memory to be able to treasure of your...
