Bump painting info
The new craze for pregnant ladies!
I can work with you to find or create a design suitable for a boy, girl or neutral. You can pick from loads of different things – cartoon characters, a theme to match your nursery, a pet name you have for your bump, or simply something you just like. Have a look through my gallery for some inspiration of ideas you can choose from!
Bump paintings take between 1 – 3 hours to complete, depending on the complexity of the design.
You can sit, lie down, or stand for your bump paint – whichever is most comfortable for you. And you are free to move around, take refreshment breaks or toilet stops! I know what it is like to be pregnant – I won’t have you being uncomfortable.
Don’t worry if you have stretch marks (don’t we all?!). Facepaint covers thickly and evenly, and will cover up even the darkest of stretch marks, and also blemishes, scars, bruises or tattoos!
I can also paint any siblings tummies or faces with a simpler design to help them feel involved – and for some extra cute photos for the whole family to enjoy.
When the paint is finished, I will take some photos for you and email them across. Its such a lovely way of treasuring your pregnancy. I didn’t take any photos of my bump whilst pregnant with my daughter, due to stretch marks etc. And I sooooo missed my bump when she was born. I love the way this creates a lasting memory for you to treasure and a positive memory of pregnancy.
If you prefer – I can put you in touch with a professional photographer and you could combine your bump painting with a bump shoot! This session is around 30 minutes long and can take place at your home (space permitting) or at the photographers location. After a few days you will get a CD of edited photos.
I usually travel to your home to paint your bump, as you might find it more comfortable to be among your own surroundings. You are also welcome to come to my home in Goole if you prefer to do so.
